Madisonville-area Teen Arrested for Making Explosives

A 15-year-old boy was arrested this week for making explosives at his Madisonville-area home. High School Student Arrested After Posting Threat on Social Media

A 17-year-old Covington High School student was arrested Wednesday evening (March 16) on terrorizing charges after making a threatening social media post. Illegal drugs and a firearm were recovered during a traffic stop Sunday (March 20) afternoon near Lacombe. At approximately 8:30 p.m. Sunday, a St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s deputy stopped a silver 2019 Nissan Pathfinder, which was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 190 in Lacombe, after observing the driver commit a traffic infraction. STPSO Investigating Folsom-area Shooting

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a shooting incident near Folsom. STPSO deputies were dispatched to a residence on Dreamland Court at approximately 6:45 p.m. Tuesday (March 22) in reference to a domestic-related altercation. One victim has been transported to a local area hospital with gunshot wounds. The investigation is ongoing, and more information will be provided when it becomes available.

The victim from the shooting incident, which occurred Tuesday (March 22) evening near Folsom, has died, and his son has been arrested for murder. Proactive Policing Results in the Arrest of Two Drug Dealers

Thanks to proactive police work, detectives with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division arrested two high-level drug dealers over the weekend. The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a mother and son after they stole more than $90,000 from an elderly family member. In February, a woman contacted the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office to report she suspected an elderly family member was being financially exploited by another family member.
