The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident that occurred Monday evening (Feb. 25) involving reported gunfire in the Abita Nursery Subdivision.
Shortly before 4:00 p.m. Monday, STPSO deputies were dispatched to the area in reference to reports of gunfire.
Deputies responded to the intersection of Success Street and Pansy Street, and STPSO investigators and crime lab technicians were able to collect the necessary physical evidence to support reports that two individuals had exchanged gunfire at that location.
Both subjects had left the scene before deputies arrived, but at this time no one is believed to have been injured. The investigation is ongoing, and no additional information is available at this time.
