St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s deputies apprehended two Slidell area men today at local car dealerships near Howze Beach road in Slidell.
Deputies located Daniel Brown (w/m 10/19/86) in the parking lot of a car dealership, and then located Michael Halstead (w/m 5/29/82) inside a pickup truck in a separate nearby car dealership.
Upon further investigation, deputies discovered multiple vehicles at three different dealerships had been entered and rummaged through.
STPSO Property Crimes detectives responded to the dealerships and further investigated the incidents. As a result of a further investigation, Halstead was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center for 3 counts of Simple Burglary of a vehicle, and 1 count of Attempted Simple Burglary of a vehicle. Brown was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center for Simple Burglary of a vehicle, Attempted Simple Burglary of a vehicle, Possession of methamphetamine, and on an outstanding contempt of court charge. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
