A 19-year-old Slidell man has been arrested for terrorizing.
Monday (April 10) morning, investigators with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office were made aware of a video that was posted on social media of a local man holding an AR-style rifle with the words “next school shooter in the making.”
STPSO investigators identified the individual in the video as Landon Woodside (DOB 7/8/03) of Slidell, and he was taken into custody.
Woodside admitted to making the video but told investigators he was “just joking.”
Woodside was arrested for terrorizing and is being booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center.
“Making a threat, even in a joking or casual manner, whether in person or on social media, will not be tolerated,” Sheriff Randy Smith said. “Each of these situations must be considered potential threats and have to be taken very seriously.”
