Shortly before 2 p.m. Sunday, a cashier at the Chevron Station on U.S. Highway 190 near Three Rivers Road called the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office to report that a man had attempted to rob the store.

The individual, who was described as a white male, approximately 6 foot tall with blond hair, grabbed a sports supplement and was attempting to walk out of the store without paying for it when the cashier stopped him and took the item from him.

The cashier was attempting to prevent the man from leaving the business so she could call authorities, when he produced what appeared to be a firearm. He then fled the business through an emergency exit and left the area in an unknown direction.
