STPSO Investigating Fatal Crash
The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash which occurred Tuesday (Nov. 8) afternoon in Folsom. At approximately 4 p.m. Tuesday, STPSO deputies were dispatched at the request of the Folsom Police Department to investigate a vehicle crash which occurred on Highway 25 near Village Farms Lane. Former Reserve Deputy Arrested for Domestic Violence
A former St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office reserve employee was arrested Tuesday (November 15) night for one count of Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment (felony). STPSO detectives were made aware of a complaint of domestic violence involving Paul Michael Hebert (DOB 11/08/84), a former deputy in the STPSO Reserve Division. STPSO Holds Active Shooting Training
Preparing for the unthinkable, the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office held an agency-wide Active Shooter Training this morning. Sheriff Randy Smith took advantage of the Thanksgiving school break to hold the scenario-based training at Mayfield Elementary, but he stresses such training prepares the deputies for incidents at any business or building in the parish. STPSO Asked for Public’s Help Following Fatal Shooting
The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help following a shooting which occurred late Monday (November 28) night in the Slidell area. At approximately midnight Monday night, STPSO deputies responded to the 100 block of Northwood Drive in response to reports of gunshots being heard.
