Arrest Made After Narcotics Located During Traffic Stop
A Nevada resident was arrested Tuesday after illegal narcotics were located hidden inside his vehicle during a traffic stop near Covington. Shortly before 10 p.m. Friday night, deputies with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a fatal vehicle crash in the 74000 block of Downs Avenue near Abita Springs. Operator of Animal Rescue Arrested on Animal Cruelty Charges
The operator of a Pearl River-area dog rescue was arrested Monday (November 9) on animal cruelty charges. Shortly after 10 a.m. Monday, St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s deputies accompanied employees with St. Tammany Parish Animal Control to a residence in the 39000 block of West Porters Road in Pearl River. More charges have been added for the owner of a Mandeville-are interior design company. Back in February 2020, St. Tammany Parish Financial Crimes Investigators arrested Danielle Matherne Gaspard, owner of Belissimo Interior Design Build, for six counts of felony theft. The head clerk for the Village of Sun was arrested Friday (November 13) for theft and malfeasance in office after it was discovered she stole more than $4,000 of village funds. The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office is participating in the National Click It or Ticket campaign over the Thanksgiving Holiday.
