Sixteen-year-old Dies After Involved in Crash Near Pearl River

A 16-year-old female died Monday (August 3) evening from injuries she sustained during a crash that occurred in the Pearl River area. St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s K9 Division has welcomed a new member. K9 Axel a 6-month-old Belgian Malinois, and once trained he will serve as a duel-purpose canine. The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested a Slidell-area man Friday (August 14) after he robbed a man at gunpoint. STPSO Participating in Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Campaign

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office is joining other local law enforcement agencies in a coordinated effort to reduce impaired driving fatalities during the upcoming Labor Day weekend. STPSO Conducting Death Investigation

***UPDATE*** The preliminary investigation into the deaths of three individuals who were found Sunday (August 30) afternoon inside their residence on Ella Singletary Road near Pearl River, indicates the deaths are a result of a murder-suicide. The decedents have been identified by the St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office as husband and wife 80-year-old Lawrence Lynchard and 75-year-old Barbara Lynchard, and the couple’s daughter, 48-year-old Debra Lynchard.
