Property Tax Q&A

The St. Tammany Parish Tax Collector utilizes different forms to assist the public with tax research and redemptions of property sold at the annual tax sale.

Properties that go to our annual tax sale must be redeemed by the owner to retain ownership. This form must be completed to start the redemption process.

Title companies, abstractors and attorneys will often use this form to obtain a three year tax research certificate from our office which is used in property sale transactions.

Our annual Property Tax Sale for delinquent 2016 taxes will be held Monday, July 31th, 2017 starting at 10 a.m. at the St. Tammany Parish Justice Center in Covington.

Anyone interested in bidding on properties at our annual Property Tax Sale is encouraged to register online in advance.  This link allows you to do so and also provides information about the Tax Sale process.
