Detectives with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s obtained warrants late Thursday (December 1) night for the arrest of two individuals in connection with the fatal shooting which occurred Monday in the Slidell area.

A 15-year-old Slidell male was arrested Friday (December 2) morning at a residence in the Slidell area.  He will be booked into the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center for one count of First-degree Murder and one count of Attempted First-Degree Murder.

Deanthony Williams (DOB 10/1/04), also of Slidell, was arrested Friday morning, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshal’s Service, at a residence in Orleans Parish. He was booked into the Orleans Parish Prison as a fugitive and is awaiting extradition to St. Tammany Parish, where he will be booked for one count of First-degree Murder and one count of Attempted First-Degree Murder.

“I applaud our detectives whose swift action and non-stop work lead to a quick arrest in this senseless crime,” Sheriff Randy Smith said. “I would also like to thank the members of our community who came forward with information related to this case. Let this serve as a reminder to criminals, our residents do not tolerate crimes like this in our community and our detectives will not stop until the individuals responsible for such crimes are identified and arrested.”
