Warrants have been issued for two individuals who are wanted in connection with a shooting that occurred Wednesday (March 31) morning near Slidell.
Mikel Slack (DOB 3/17/2001) is wanted on two counts of L.R.S. 14:27/30.1 Attempted Second-degree Murder, and Lamani Allen (DOB 3/4/ 1999) is wanted on one count of L.R.S. 14:25/14:27/30.1 Accessory to Attempted Second-degree Murder.
St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 1400 block of Ellingsworth Drive near Slidell at approximately 11 a.m. Wednesday in reference to a shooting.
During their subsequent investigation, STPSO detectives learned that two individuals were seated in a vehicle outside a residence in the 1400 block of Ellingsworth Drive when for unknown reasons Slack approached and began firing a upon the vehicle. One individual was struck in the leg and transported to a local-area hospital, where he was treated and subsequently released.
It was also learned that Allen assisted in transporting Slack from the scene.
Both Slack and Allen are believed to be in the Algiers area.
