Several members of the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Investigative Division paid a visit to one of their own today.

Chris Morgan, an STPSO Property Crimes detective, was released Tuesday, October 5, after seven long weeks in an area hospital, where he was battling the effects of Covid-19.

Detective Morgan spent much of that time 100 percent relying on a ventilator to breath.

Thanks to prayers and excellent medical care, Detective Morgan was transferred Tuesday to a local rehabilitation facility, where he is continuing to improve and regain his strength.

Some of his coworkers were pleased to have been given the Okay by medical personnel to visit on Thursday, which lifted Detective Morgan’s spirits.

Sheriff Randy Smith and the men and women of the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office are very pleased to see Detective Morgan regaining his health and are praying for a complete recovery.
