A Pearl River man has been arrested after tips from the community led members of the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Task Force to his residence where narcotics and a stolen firearm were located Wednesday (May 29).
Members of the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Task Force executed a search warrant at the home of Gary Slaydon (DOB 9/28/1966) in the Pearl River area. The search revealed numerous legend drugs, Suboxone and narcotic paraphernalia, including used syringes.
A handgun that had been reported stolen out of Mississippi last year was also found in the home.
Slaydon was subsequently placed under arrest and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail on the following charges:

L.R.S. 40:967c Possession of a Schedule III CDS, (Suboxone)
L.R.S. 40:1060.13 Possession of a Legend Drug (2-Counts)
L.R.S. 14:69.1 Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm
