A Kenner man was booked into the St. Tammany Parish jail this afternoon after a resident reported seeing the man fondling himself in a business parking lot.

Miguel Rodriguez (78 Gelpi Ave, Kenner – DOB: 8/2/1979) was booked with one count of L.R.S. 14:106 – obscenity.  His bond has not yet been set.

Just before 1:00 pm today, a female called 911 to report seeing Rodriguez fondling himself in his parked vehicle at a business along Hwy 190 near Covington.

Sheriff’s deputies immediately began looking for the vehicle, a gold colored Saturn Vue, in the vicinity of the incident.  Approximately 30 minutes later, a deputy stationed at the intersection of Hwy 190 and Hwy 22 in Mandeville noticed a matching vehicle heading south toward the Causeway Bridge.

Deputies stopped the vehicle and Rodriguez, the driver, admitted to the incident.

A similar complaint was filed on the 13th of this month at another business parking lot near I-12 in the Covington area.  Deputies were able to connect Rodriguez with that incident as well and are obtaining an arrest warrant for another count of obscenity.  He will be booked with this count once the warrant is obtained.
