A former St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office employee has been arrested for malfeasance.

Thursday (September 22) afternoon, Victoria Stelfox, was terminated and arrested for Malfeasance in Office and Filing or Maintaining False Public Record. She will be booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center.

Stelfox, a lieutenant in the criminal patrol division, was arrested after she fabricated a hit-and-run accident report when a deputy who worked under her was involved in a minor single-vehicle crash.

Stelfox had been employed with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office since September 2005.

“It is a very sad day when you have to arrest one of your own employees,” Sheriff Randy Smith said, “but no one is above the law.”
