A former St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office reserve employee was arrested Tuesday (November 15) night for one count of Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment (felony).

STPSO detectives were made aware of a complaint of domestic violence involving Paul Michael Hebert (DOB 11/08/84), a former deputy in the STPSO Reserve Division.

Pursuant to investigation, it was determined Hebert struck his girlfriend, who he resided with, during an incident which occurred approximately one week prior.

Several children under the age of 13 were inside the residence during that altercation.

Hebert was terminated and arrested for Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment. He was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center.

The investigation is on-going, and further charges may be pending.

“I hold all of our employees, even our reserves, to the highest standard. When a public servant breaks the law, that individual must face the consequences,” said Sheriff Randy Smith.
