The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in a robbery that occurred earlier this month at a Slidell-area convenience store.

Shortly after 4 a.m. on Sunday, September 16, STPSO deputies were dispatched to a convenience store on Highway 190 West after an employee reported a man entered the store and demanded all the money from the register.  The suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

An accurate description of the perpetrator was obtained and confirmed through video surveillance.

The subsequent investigation led to the identification of Tristan James (DOB 1/26/1970) of Slidell, as a suspect, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Monday, Sept. 24, James turned himself in and admitted to committing the robbery.  He was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail for one count of LRS 14:65 Simple Robbery (Felony).
