One suspect is in custody and another is at large after two separate robberies at Slidell area gas stations over the weekend.
Shortly after 9:15 a.m. Sunday (October 8) morning, STPSO deputies responded to a report of an armed robbery at a service station on Brownswitch Road.
The cashier stated that the suspect entered the store, implied she had a firearm and demanded money. The clerk handed an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect, who then fled the scene in a silver Acura.
Sheriff’s Office deputies quickly located the vehicle nearby and initiated a traffic stop. Identifying clothing and the stolen cash were found inside the vehicle. A weapon was not located in the vehicle or on the suspect.

Shortly after 9:30 p.m. Sunday (October 8) night, STPSO deputies responded to a second armed robbery; this time at a gas station on Highway 11.
In this case, the cashier reported she was robbed at gunpoint by a man in a ski mask.
The suspect, a black male, made off with an undisclosed amount of cash and is still at large. He was last seen wearing a light blue hoodie and black pants.
