A St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office detective was booked Thursday (October 5) on one count of malfeasance in office following a joint investigation by the STPSO and the 22nd Judicial District Attorney’s Office.

Jordan Hollenbeck, a member of the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Narcotics Task Force, was arrested on a warrant after an internal investigation revealed he had released confidential information to possible suspects related to ongoing narcotics investigations. These actions jeopardized cases and other officers’ safety.

“I hold all of our employees to a higher standard. When a public servant betrays the trust of the people he or she serves, that individual must face the consequences,” said Sheriff Randy Smith.

Hollenbeck has been employed with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office since November of 2008.

Hollenbeck was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail on the following charge:
LRS 14:134 Malfeasance in Office

The investigation is ongoing. No further details will be released at this time.
