The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office has released new information related to the search for Filiberto Bejarano, also known as “Veto,” who is currently wanted for second degree murder.

Bejarano (DOB: 7/4/1961), a Honduran national, is wanted in the fatal stabbing of 20-year-old, Javier Ortiz Flores, which occurred at a trailer park in the Abita Springs area the evening of June 22, 2017.

“Veto”, (sometimes pronounced “Beto”) is approximately 5’6” tall, with a medium to heavy build, a dark complexion, shoulder length, wavy salt/pepper hair, and a mustache. Other possible names used include Humberto Bejarano Guerrero, Unmberto, or Roberto. An alternative spelling of his last name is Vejarano. His nicknames include “Veto,” “Beto,” “Berto,” and “Negro.” He has previously used an alias DOB of 7/4/1959.

He is believed to be in the Covington/Abita Springs area. Bejarano does not have a vehicle, and will more than likely be on foot or on a bicycle.
