The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Mandeville man after he broke windows out of and caused damage to several Covington/Mandeville area businesses and a family residence located in Mandeville.

Late Saturday night (April 6) and into Sunday (April 7) and Monday (April 8), the STPSO received reports from multiple businesses located along Hwy. 190 in Covington, Hwy. 59 in Mandeville and a Mandeville resident, that an unknown perpetrator had propelled some type of projectile into the glass windows of each business and the residence causing extensive damage to glasswork.

During the course of the investigation the STPSO was able to recover surveillance footage of a vehicle seen near several of the businesses shortly before the damage occurred.  The subsequent investigation led investigators to the Mandeville home of Jacob Pratt (DOB 8/31/1998).

On Friday (April 12), warrants were issued through the 22nd Judicial District Court for Pratt’s arrest.  Pratt was located and taken into custody without incident and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail on the following charges:

2- Counts of L.R.S. 14:56B.2 Felony Criminal Damage
4- Counts of L.R.S. 14:56B.1 Misdemeanor Criminal Damage
