The St. Tammany Parish Narcotics Task Force arrested a local teenager on multiple drug charges Wednesday after a state issued search warrant was executed at his residence.
St. Tammany Parish Narcotics Task Force detectives had been investigating complaints of suspected drug use and sales by a school-age teenager residing at 2315 Crossing Court in Mandeville. Detectives orchestrated the timeliness of the search of the residence to coincide with the first day of school the following day.
The investigation led to the arrest of 18-year-old Mitch Maggio.
During the search, detectives discovered 128 grams of high grade marijuana, suspected THC Wax or "dabs," a 9mm handgun, morphine pills, Xanax pills, tramadol pills, clonazepam pills, a small amount of suspected "Molly" also known as MDMA, several grams of suspected cocaine, a digital scale, and other drug paraphernalia.
Detectives believe that the confiscated drugs were intended to be distributed/sold to other students as the school year began.
