Two St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s deputies were honored last night at separate awards ceremonies in the Mandeville area.
Dy. Jason Bubna was presented with the American Society of Italian Heritage Rising Star award. The award is given each year to a Sheriff’s deputy with less than two years of service in recognition of outstanding service achievement. The ceremony took place at the Society’s annual awards banquet, held last night at Beau Chene Country Club. Dy. Bubna works is a criminal patrol deputy in District III (western St. Tammany).
Detective Chad Risey was given the Safe Harbor Hero Award for 2012. Det. Risey was recognized for his outstanding contributions to Safe Harbor’s efforts to combat domestic violence in St. Tammany Parish. The award was given at Safe Harbor’s 2012 Domestic Violence Candlelight Vigil, held last night at Lakeview Medical Center. Det. Risey works in the Sheriff’s office investigations division’s domestic violence section.
